Breathe in the sea air and embrace the broad horizon

If you're looking for a break from the hustle and bustle, the North Pembrokeshire Coast will stretch your horizons and the sea breeze will blow out the cobwebs.

The North Pembrokeshire Coast

The St Davids Peninsular is a wild, unspoiled and windswept promontory; the horizon stretches out in all directions. The spectacular coastline, dramatic in places, gives way to sandy beaches and natural harbours all linked together and easily accessed by the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

Interesting Places to visit

There's history here too, many prehistoric remains of burial chambers, forts and settlements. A Neolithic burial chamber, Coetan Arthur, sits on the ridge above St Davids head and there is a reconstruction of an Iron Age fort at Castell Henllys further up the coast.

St Davids

The historic City of St Davids is Britain's smallest city with a population of just 2,000 people. St Davids Cathedral was built in the 12th century when 2 pilgrimages to St Davids equalled one to Rome. There is a music festival held here in the Spring and concerts throughout the summer. The medieval remains of the Bishop's Palace sits adjacent to the cathedral with Shakespeare performed here in the Autumn.

Solva Harbour

A pretty, natural harbour, dotted with sailing boats. You can join the coast path on either side of the harbour and reward yourself with a delightful view of Solva Harbour, the village and the coast from above.

The main streets of both St Davids and Solva are alive with small shops, galleries, cafes, pubs and restaurants.
